G'day Everyone!
I was surfing through the CNN web page this morning for a bit before I attacked my work (I'm overwhelmed today), I saw this article : " Boy, who refused treatment due to religion, dies". (For the full story, go read: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/11/29/jehovahs.witness.ap/index.html ).
This morning, I am so angry, I want that judge off that bench. I side with the parents who wanted that boy to have the treatment. But get this: The parents are NOT Jehovah Witnesses. They have suspected correct, the boy's aunt has influenced the boy because she is a Jehovah Witness! How will this aunt feel this morning over her influence to know that she could have saved her nephew and told him "get the treatment, you need to live life more than die such a short life"?
I once tangled with Jehovah Witnesses. We argued 5 straight hours over various medical debate procedures that would have allowed a human being lived. Unfortunately, their belief is clear. They believe a life saving blood transfusion that comes from a stranger is tainted with SIN. I told them clearly at the end of 5 hours debate "you have already committed the greater sin in you because you allow people to kill themselves due to your faith". They left my home in much more doubt of their "religious reasons".
Would you allow a judge to side with a boy, who's 14, a minor, and his aunt, and tell his folks "Well, I know you are his parents, but the boy makes a decision.. etc.. etc.. etc..". Yet, there are some advocate judges out there, who tell the SAME 14 year old children, to listen to their parents and don't die early or leave their family before they finish growing up!
That very judge and aunt will be answering to God for their influence on that boy. God help them. But at the same time, that aunt would be wise to step away from the boy's parents for about 140 years! I'm sure she won't be "welcomed" back to the boy's parent's house any time.
Parents, please take care of your kids today. Teach your children YOUR FAITH. Don't let an aunt or uncle force your kids to be something you are not. Protect the kids. Their life is too precious to die early. I wish this young kid had talked to his folks before he set out to do this. Such a waste of precious life.

Whoa.. Insanity happens!
G'day Everyone!
I'd call this post "Where's Ridor Remix" post, but I choose the title correctly after a tip came in and lead me to Chris Leon's site. Please cyber Hop, skip, jump, whatever you gotta do on the 'net area. The actions of Ridor explains it all on this one. No comments today for it.
Just go read for yourself.
And remember, comment carefully and responsible as Chris Leon warns. Here's the link:

Where's Ridor?
G'day fans!
Lately, some of you have been following the comments on Jamie Berke's blog about Ridor lately. And it's pretty much a wild episode.
Tonight, a new blogger appeared on Blogspot (with Semper FI THANKS to my friend for it!) and here it is. Apparently it's his first post: http://deafreader.blogspot.com/
So Deaf Reader, please keep on posting. You did some great comments!
Meanwhile, there's a mystery going on. I am aware that Ridorlive was on WordPress site. Suddenly, it was "parked" on DreamHost site. I thought it was rather "weird". All was fine, till some Ridor fans started to beg me to start "searching" to find out what happened to Ridor. I told them "NO CAN DO! As much as Ridor has BASHED me on his site, I will not bother to look for him!". But now, as you can see, some people DO HAVE AN OPINION of Ridor!
But I am sure Ridor will appear at the time he deems best to appear. In his own RIDOR-STYLE way!
So, please don't ask me to "search" for him. I have enough cases going on.

Mortal Life.
G'day Everyone!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I'm sure you all have been stuffed and swearing you'll diet like hell and hope you get THIN enough to impress the holiday crowds. But just don't diet hard. Go Easy.
Today, I have to write this post. It's a religious type post with a message for everyone today. So I'm giving a fair warning and if you don't want to read any further than this line, come back tomorrow for a new post. Fair enough?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still here? Ok.. on to my topic for today. First: Please look at the following link:
http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0001/0001_01.asp
There's a few reasons why I posted that link.
Have you ever been confronted by knowing you are MORTAL of your very life? It's true!
From the day your are born to the day you die, you are very mortal. You can be hurt, you can suffer disease, your can eventually bleed to death if that were to happen.
There are millions of teenagers and young adults out there in this world, who think they are immortal and can't be killed, yet suffer the most destructive ways to end of life. I've seen and heard that they do drugs hard, drink hard, and smoke hard. They live life aggressively and recklessly. They have the notion that their body will heal but won't die. But just one impact of a hit, or stab, or shot by gun or major car accident, they'll find out in the first few moments that they have a disbelief that they are hurt. Then comes the scream for help when they realize they are seriously hurt or dying. When they die, they are gone. It's painful to hear it.
But that's not why I post this topic today.
Early last December 2006, as Jamie Berke wrote in her own blog : http://berkeoutspoken.blogspot.com/2007/10/next-time-gallaudet-university.html that I had almost died of MRSA.
For those of you who don't know what MRSA stands for, it's : Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Short name : STAPH!
Here's info about it : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MRSA
Yes, we all have been hearing about how Staph infections are becoming life-threaten and being drug resistant. When I contracted it, I was faced with the very fact that I could be dying RIGHT THERE AND THEN!! It is scary. It is an event that really confronts you and tells you that YOU ARE A MORTAL HUMAN BEING! The very stay in the hospital was not only expensive, but it was a SERIOUS WAKE CALL that tells me I'm mortal!
It was at that time that I was prepared to die if it was to happen. Turns out, a lot of my friends cared to pray to God on my behalf and it is to them I still give them my grateful thanks.
Over this past Thanksgiving weekend, I was confronted by a reminder again of how mortal life can be for anyone. Early in the week, I was informed an aunt of mine had fell at home and was sent to a hospital. I later found out she had terminal lung cancer among other problems. Rather than staying in a hospital, she was sent to a hospice home.
A hospice is place where you have something of a home, but you will eventually die there.
I took time each day of the Thanksgiving weekend to visit my aunt. I became that bible believer again and trying to witness to her for salvation. I told her I loved her despite that the rest of my family didn't like her much. She was my dad's sister. Most thought she won't die for a long while.
But, there was something that told me that she would be gone last weekend. Death came and took her away. Did she go to Heaven? Did she go to Hell? That is a question I'm able to answer because she wasn't able to answer. A part of me hopes that she heard the Gospel message I presented to her. I won't know until I die myself.
But you know what? I made a wish to myself that weekend. If God will be kind to me, I rather die on a warm weather day or nice evening weather, the grass beneath me, and that I will be looking up to the sky. I'm kind of jealous a bit that my aunt died on a FULL MOON night despite it was cold outside (no she wasn't outside). My second wish is dying in my own room, my own bed and not in a hospice place. (as long as I can stay in my own place).
Sadly, she was the next to last of my father's family he had. Now, my father's brother is the last surviving member of my father's family. Yet, I ask many of you to please pray for my uncle. Seriously, he's been depressed and sick in the last several months. Several people in my family are very afraid the news about his sister might kill him. If it does, we'll be looking at a 2nd funeral in the family this year. So I ask many of you to please pray for him.
Just remember out there. You are not invincible person. You are NOT a super person. You are mortal living person.
Hebrews 9:27 : "At the appointed time, a person is to die. But after this, the judgement". Remember that.
God bless.

ASLexpo 2007 / Thanksgiving 2007
G'day folks!
I'm late on posting of my experience of the ASLexpo 2007 last weekend. It was a joyful day to be there on that Saturday. Despite the painful cold morning (which later "warmed up" to a cool afternoon), it was a day where I could forget about the hearing world and use SIGN LANGUAGE again.
I was meeting just about everyone! From old deaf friends, to meeting new deaf friends, to meeting deaf and hearing strangers who just wanna yammer with "Sherlock"!
At times, my rival enemies, who just looked at me with a curt and a nod, fully knowing we're not going to try to have a WAR in a public place. (I was in no fighting mood that day).
I enjoyed meeting the infamous Tom Neville! He was so busy of handing out the raffle tickets (I wonder who won the 5K and other prizes?) I wish I had a pic of him and me. Ah the man was just an awesome presence there.
Meanwhile, my critic of the movie "THE WRONG GAME". I'm not going to spill what happens in that movie, but YOU HAVE TO SEE IT! It's an all ASL movie! No sound! No voice! Wonderfully directed and made by my friend, Mark G. Wood! There are some funny moments, lots of gags (literally you'll gag at times), and some pretty frightening moments. This is a movie that may be intended for all ages, but I strongly caution parents to sit with their kids to talk about what's going on in the movie in case they have questions. (I hate to see their nightmares!)
Over all, I give Mark Wood more than a thumbs up. I give him a standing, cheering, yelling praise for making that movie!! It will come out on Video in 2009. Don't forget, Mark is still working on yet, ANOTHER movie! Humm..that should be very interesting!
I had to leave the ASLexpo 2007 early as I had to take a friend back to Gallaudet as he was the out-going Vice President of the Washington Metro Association of the Deaf-Blind group. It was sad to leave, but then again, no choice as it was a fun day. I had an enjoyable evening with the Deaf-Blind group there.
As we drove back to my friend's home, it was an exhausting yet enjoyable day. He said "If ASLexpo happens again next year, I wanna stay all day!!". I don't blame him. ME TOO!
Thanksgiving 2007
To many of my readers, friends, and foes alike:
I want to wish you all a happy thanksgiving. I hope each of you will take time to say a prayer and be thankful to God for having a home, family, and friends. Take time to thank for your health as well.
Remember in prayer for our military people who are fighting in various parts of the world. We need to remember to thank them for the cause of our freedom. Bless the family who's son and daughter that serves in our nation's military. That is the highest thankful praise we can give them.
I ask prayers for my family at this time. A relative of my family is dying and many people are heading to my home town for a possible funeral. We will have one big thanksgiving dinner some how. (that's a lotta cooking I have to do. oh boy!). So please pray.
Again, God bless each of you.

CAUGHT DRIVING WHILE TXTING!
G'day everyone!
Hey.. do you know what? There are cameras every where in nearly every state. Do you know what happens when law enforcement looks into a person's car, just for a safety reason? Well, NOW YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YER CAUGHT DOING SOMETHING YOU SHOULD NOT DO!
Here! Read this: http://www.switched.com/2007/11/20/first-ever-driving-while-texting-ticket-issued/
So, don't blame if I didn't warn you! I told you all for many years now, Don't sidekick or cell txt while driving because if you do, a cop will be on you faster than you can say.."what the hey?"and you'll be issued a ticket which means you have to hire a lawyer, interpreter (if you are deaf), and be prepared to argue you case right in front of a judge. If you lose, you better have money saved up for it or it's going to be "Hi, I'm prisoner #....".
I've seen too many situations on I-66 and on many other roads. I've seen people talk on cell phones, BlackBerries, other devices, and wander all over the road. I've had to honk and flash my bright lights to get them back into the proper lane. (some times it works.. some times not. and most times.. avoid them like they got the disease!).
I have rode in a passenger seat of a friend's car, one time, and kindly asked him to put his device away. He kept on tx'ting. In one instance, we nearly had an accident and just as I saw what was coming, I yanked his device out of his hands and yelled at him, "WATCH THE DAMN FUCKING ROAD". When he realized what was going to happen, he stepped on the brakes.. hard! How close did we come to a major car accident? Micro-meters. When we stopped, the bumper was just gentle resting on the other car. The driver of the other car wasn't even aware of it. There was a LONG black streak of tire marks in the road (tires still smoking).
When my friend asked for his device back, I first grabbed everything I was carrying that day and then flipped his device back at him. I told him " Report yourself to the DMV if you dare for I'm doing just that for your sake". And I did. We haven't spoken ever since.
So, all you deaf and hearing readers out there, do me a favor. Put it down. If you get a call or text message, pull off the road and then do it. SAFELY. It takes two hands to drive a car. But, it only takes an instant of a mistake that will mean a life of pain or eternity of death.
If you get a ticket, you only have your very self and your empty wallet to blame.

update: Here's another article I found today. Have a good read. Then ask yourself a lot of questions: http://www.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/wayoflife/11/20/behind.wheel/index.html
The Church sex scandals.
G'day everyone!
If it's NOT the Roman Catholic Church having a sex scandal, another one is having it.
Here's the article: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/14642059/detail.html
It has increasingly becoming sad to me to hear of these "pastors". Human they are, yes. But when their wives are not doing their job of pleasing their husbands, then some thing's wrong.
I wish every church ministry would look at their pastor and their members under a microscope today before Thanksgiving happens. I hope every pastor starts wondering : "Am I next to be found out?" every day. Confession is good for their souls. Even if it costs them their job, family, gives prison time, then it will be clear that the price of breaching the oath of a pastor is a HIGH PRICE to pay for.
Pastors: take time today. If you are having an affair out there, get out of it. Then treat your wife to a special evening and eventually go away on vacation with her to rebuild your marriage.
For those that have secretly fathered children, it's time to come clean more than ever. Because if you don't "be sure your SIN will find you OUT" syndrome will happen.
Pray for your ministry, folks. This is more than ever of an important time in our very lives.

Taser Deaths Growing.
It was another shock to hear of a growing sense of deaths by police to shock people by using tasers guns.
Recently, a 2o year old man was just shocked, then quit breathing, then died. Police did NOTHING. Did they do CPR? I don't know. That's a possibility that they might have or not.
Police claim they did everything "by the book" and putting the officer ON-PAID LEAVE while pending investigation.
But you know what? It doesn't look good at all.
But to hear this young man die, I get the impression that something is WRONG with the Taser guns lately. My question is: did the police amp up the voltages higher on the stun guns? Are they killing people while the act of stunning them gives them protected justice? That's a question that a lot of people have to look around.
I'm hearing that it was a young deaf man the died from this taser shot. But I don't want to know if it's true or not. If it's true, It'll give Ridor more fodder of telling deaf people to be a really afraid of police. I'm already afraid of police myself and would rather distance myself AWAY from them. The only time I'll work with a cop is when I know I have a witness with me.
Right now, I add my voice to the scores of people calling for police departments to disable people safely in another way. I add my voice that the use of Taser guns MUST BE SUSPENDED until further testings show that there is safety for use of Taser guns.
The police do not look well in public relations now. Thanks to the media. I hope every police officer will be saying a prayer for their lives before they work and after they work because the very lives they take of another person in the line of duty had better be in DEFENSE of their own lives because if not..God will NOT have mercy on their guilty souls.
administrative Post from Sherlock
From: The Desk of Sherlock
To: My Readers
November 2007.
It was time for an administrative post. After consulting a few bloggers over a certain "problem", I decided that it was necessary to be said and to clear the "air" around my blog.
There are many bloggers who enjoy to read my site. They may agree to disagree with me and some privately let me have at it via the AIM. Some times we get into an argument. There are times we get mad with each other but then, forgive each other because not of the bonds of friendship, but in respect of blogging. I appreciate them very much for their input and their honor to show that to me as I give to them as well.
Now, I would like to personally address to MR. St. Johns:
Sir: I have accorded you the honor and have addressed to you of all your "suggestions" since you are a staunch supporter for these Gallaudet protestors. We agree to disagree and you know that for a fact very much. Name calling me will not bring you on to the comments section of my web page such as you have previously been able to do on Xanga. For you see, Sir, I have accorded you this moment so that you may see that I respect you. Unfortunately, it's the last respect I'm giving you because of your very words that been said and cuts deep into me.
As it's been said "Be careful of what you post, it can come back to haunt you."
How's that for grip on reality? Get my point of your own complaint to me? Good!
Now I have you know, Sir, that I am sane as a normal person. But, I won't lower myself to the level of Ridor that he uses to SLAM people to bits when he feels he needs to make a point.
What I am saying, Sir, that we have a difference of opinion. All of us, as bloggers, can be either right or wrong on various situations that happens around us. At the same time, we don't need to slam into each other often as this is the case to be on some web pages. (try the Berke-Ridor 3 war on going in the BerkeOutspoken.com area). Some of my close bloggers are good friends of mine on AIM and have often given me comments and suggestions for my blog. Remember, Sir, I have my own group of people doing some researching for me and if something I post is wrong, I let them have it personally. Hey, Sir, we're all human bloggers, are we? Good. So we are human! So are you, MR. St. Johns!
If there was a blog or vlog done by a human so perfect and so innocent in the name of human nature, that person would win all the blog and vlog awards out there and there would be none left for human and imperfect bloggers and vloggers! So there you have it, MR. St. Johns. That's what I am. A human, living, imperfect Sherlock. I can be wrong some times. But that gives me an opportunity to make things right as well in our lives. That's humanity as it is!
Lastly, Mr. St. Johns (and to everyone else), if you don't like what I post on my web page, do me a favor: Don't bother posting in the comments. I'm taking a tougher stance on who leaves comments on my web page. Unfortunately, your last comment was very much hurtful to me and that shows you have LACK OF RESPECT for a blogger such as me. If you want to be the way that you mimic like Ridor is, then go right ahead and see how popular you get. It won't get you that far.
Finally, I want to be clear to everyone. Gallaudet has a long road ahead into the future. There's a lot of work left to be done. We all have done our fair share of being critics on them. We're still going to be watching how Gallaudet grows beyond the days of Post-Jordan. It's time for the protesters to stop victory dancing around MT. Bison and start to really focus on the 2nd half of the academic year. MSCHE gave Gallaudet a break. I'd like to see the protesters put their energy where it belongs. STUDY. Be a part of Team Gallaudet. There is but one condition: no longer announce that you were apart of the Gallaudet Protest. The year long victory dance is over. It's time for work. Time to get things done.
This is where MR. St. Johns calls for UNITY for Gallaudet. I say fine. Unity for Gallaudet. But that unity is only good as long as NO PROTEST HAPPENS. I gave my best shot at the protesters. I hope my affirmation of support, as MR. St.Johns wants me to be, for the protesters will not be a misplaced state of faith in them. Such as it is, I'm giving them just that for the coming 2nd half of the academic year. For the divided campus community, do what St.Johns asks for. Unity for Gallaudet. It's time.
End of administrative post.

Gallaudet OFF PROBATION?
G'day!
I fell out of my chair the moment I was reading my emails. The flash came in. Gallaudet is OFF the Probationary status and put on to a WARNING list in the next step of the process of re-accreditation. That's what President Davila says.
Excuse me while I don't join the cheers. I rather wait for the day when Gallaudet is FULLY CERTIFIED and FULLY RE-ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY. That's when the day I will cheer for Gallaudet!
At the present, with nothing major event happening to disrupt the campus of this Fall semester, I breath a sigh of relief. But just the same, all these students, faculty, and staff have been working hard this semester as a team. We have a long way to go.
I'm still concerned of the impact of what happens if Jane Fernandes, I.King Jordan, and Karen Kimmel will have when they come back and teach on our Kendall Green. I hope NOBODY signs up for their classes. (That's my wish). I still say it's a mistake for the 3 to come back and rather see that they take an early retirement. That's what they deserve right now.
So, over all, I will extend a guarded "congratulations" to President Davila at this point for now. But anything else that happens in the Spring Semester? I don't think anyone wants to know but just pray.
Students: Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the "mini-break". Ace the end of the Semester Exams!
Semper FI.
Update: I just looked on the Gallaudet University Home page. There was a confirmation of an announcement made by President Davila. For info: http://news.gallaudet.edu/?id=12185

Possible GU Protest in January 2008?
G'day Everyone!
My friend, James, has written a very serious post. So before reading the rest of this blog of mine, please go to his web page:
http://www.xanga.com/jbyrne7480
Now I want to voice a HUGE concern. Basically I'm repeating James' blog again, but please let me speak.
Karen Kimmel, Jane Fernandes, and I. King Jordan. These 3 are the in-famous figures of Gallaudet University's history. Why should these 3 be allowed to return to Gallaudet to teach? Oh please, don't bitch to me that their "Professionals Union" demands that they be allowed to teach. I don't give a flying leap if they have a damn contract with Gallaudet University.
So, lets spell it out clearly of who's done what.
Let's first take Karen Kimmel. Is she worth being an educator? NO. There are various reports that she is NOT worth a person to learn off of. She was sacked by President Davila. She threw a lawsuit at Gallaudet. Now, she's being allowed back? I DON'T THINK SO! We should have a say in the whole matter! From what I hear, she is not a professional educator.
2nd: Jane Fernandes. This woman has a extensive history with Gallaudet and MSSD. She has caused trouble and ruined many a life of students, staff, and faculty.
How about really asking her of just how much she knows about murders on campus, then fingering Thomas Minch in the first place before saying "oooppsss!! It was Joseph Mesa". It is very curious that some have said she was aware of Joseph Mesa from his MSSD trouble days. Let's not forget how she has "managed" to throw her name into the presidential consideration when it's a REAL TABOO that Provosts are NOT considered for a President's position at their current college/university. Any other college or university is fine if she was to work there as President. But the point is, she was a provost first. She didn't bother to step down from being a provost in order to be seriously considered as a University President. Why did the BOTs "hire" her when they saw HOW she handled the Murderers/Minch/Mesa saga? NOT a good President for Gallaudet I'd tell ya. If I was a BOT, I'd have stood up against Jordan and say "NO WAY!!".
What's worse, Jane K. Fernandes became the first Provost/President Elect to preside over the graduation ceremonies in 2006. That has become one of the most worst moments of Gallaudet History ever.
After the graduation ceremony, I was informed that she didn't bother to resign her Provost position until someone had to tell her and forced her to step down because it was unethical for a president elect to hold on to the previous position and yet do both jobs which is a conflict in nature. Yet, she did just that. Very unethical she is!
I want to praise some of the students at that time for being brave to publish her picture and put the words "KNOW THY ENEMY" on the T-shirts that they were selling.
But in the events that followed from May through October 2006 and at various times of the present year, she waged a public relations war with the protesters that made just about every one look bad on a daily basis. It wasn't until she was ejected by the Board of Trustees from her job. Brave of them to do it but they may have had to pay her a TON of MONEY for it.
#3rd I. King Jordan. 19 years. Such a man like himself who was humble in 1988 to gain the office of President through a Gallaudet Protest (which was correct at the time) and having his very term end under a cloud of suspection, corruption, and watching his very term end with another student protest. Jordan is highly suspected of having his hand of "arrangements" of having Jane Fernandes selected as "president" by his hand picked BOTs.
There is two things WORSE about Jordan: First. WHY would Jordan FORCE the Board of Trustees to re-name the Student Academic Center (SAC) after him? The very cardinal rule was violated. Buildings are NOT named for University Presidents unless they are retiring from the University or have died. In this case, we: The students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni, were not given a chance to voice our concerns of how we want our SAC to be. It should have stayed just SAC. That's it.
Second, Jordan did not deserve to be called "President Emeritus" by the BOTs. He did not deserve it. NO!! A man like, I. King Jordan, who has been through two student protests, does not deserve to be called a "President Emeritus".
I call upon the NEW Gallaudet Board of Trustees to rescind two items:
1. The honor of "President Emeritus" to be taken from Jordan at once.
2. That the I. King Jordan Student Academic Center title be taken off the Student Academic Center immediately. It is not a right that it be on there at this present time.
Finally and lastly: If it becomes clear that Jordan, Fernandes, and Kimmel are returning to this campus, I call upon the students, staff, Faculty, and Alumni to first petition that Davila be given advice that these 3 are NOT to be allowed to resume their positions on campus. If Davila does not listen, then I will fully support a PROTEST on the campus of Gallaudet as long as reason survives.

Animal Jihad!
G'day Everyone!
On Sunday night of November 11th, I came face to face with an incident that made my life flash right by me in an instant. An instant was all I needed to scare me and yet, thank God I am still here. I had just passed the exits of Gettysburg, PA area on Route 15. A busy yet almost interstate type of a road these days. I was in the right hand lane doing 70mph as usual. In the left lane, an SUV had just passed me and almost gone nearly a car length ahead of me.
It was just an instant that it was that just needed for a young FULL GROWN BUCK to flash across the road at a full break-neck speed. It darted right in front of the SUV that was doing 75-80 mph! It flew right past it and barely a heart beat, it was in front of me! Then, like a super-buck, it flashed right off the road! I was like "My God, what the heck was that buck? " or "what was the hell was THAT CRAZED BUCK?".
Neither the SUV nor I tapped our brakes. But I think we both hoped that no other bucks were crossing the road at that point. The old saying is.. if you see one buck cross the road, be alert that a herd might be right behind it!
I thank God I am still here. But it gave me an idea for today's post. "Animal Jihad" or Animal Natural Terrorism.
For years of the human race, we have been confronted by the facts that Animals do a" natural jihad or terrorism" on human beings.
First, we had to worry about Bird Flu Terrorism. Whenever a bird gets sick, there's a chance that "flu" will infect a human. It's been proven that humans can contract Bird Flu! Now that's dangerous!
Then we've have to worry about Rabies Terrorism. We know that Squirrels, or dogs, or raccoons would eventually contract rabies and without sane built-in natural animal thinking that they are suppose to have, they attack humans aggressively. Which eventually leads us to get the painful rabies shots. OUCH!
Next, we have suffered the terror by the pit bulls (and other various dogs) that were killing either humans or other animals. There are still wild dogs that roam out there. Mostly Pit bulls. What about the dogs that Micheal Vick raised to be "killers"? Can they be truly be re-trained to LOVE their human masters? I do not think so. The dogs of Michael Vick are due to be put to death. I support that Michel Vick's dogs should be destroyed because, once you train a dog to kill another dog, you are already in danger. I pray those that brought Michael Vick's dogs will return them and have them put to sleep. There's NO SUCH THING as a dog re-rehabilitated. Once a dog learns that a human has hurt it, it will turn on it's next human master when it gets that chance.
There's many other forms of Animal Jihads (terror) going on these days. Too many to count. But now, there's bear hunting season happening. So the bear hunters are doing a jihad to cull the bear population.
In less than a few weeks, the deer hunters will begin a Jihad (Terror) on the deers to cull that deer population. It needs to be done because not only the deer population is large, but it's delicious venison!
But in the meanwhile, anytime you see a wreck on the road caused by a deer, it will say that the deer was successful to cause a bit of terror and send a message to the hunters : "Don't mess with the bucks! We own the woods!". (yeah, right. Yer dying all over the roads anyhow and leave people to pay for expensive car repairs).
Unfortunately, these deers are stupid enough to take on a full size truck. I was at a rest area one evening a few years ago, I was just watching the road. The woods was to my left. A full grown buck was just eating the freshly mowed grass (which was the last of the mowing season) in the center lane between the highway. In the very far distance, a truck was coming. I watched as the deer picked up it's head and stared intently. Less than200 yards that the truck would have passed the deer safely, the buck made a sudden move. It darted RIGHT INTO THE PATH OF THE TRUCK!
WHAAAMMMMOOOO!!!" With the truck horn desperately sounding, it smacked into the deer full speed. The deer stood for micro-seconds in front of the truck's fender before it got thrown under the wheels and run over. The truck slowed down to the right shoulder of the road and pulled over to inspect the damage.
I will not forget the moments that followed. That buck had the guts to stand back up in pure defiance despite that it was dying right in the middle of the road. It never saw another truck that loomed right behind it and crushed it, full speed. The driver didn't even slow to inspect any damage it had. It kept right on going.
The time I raced over and talked to the truck driver, he was OK. But he stood shocked that his fellow driver would crush that very injured deer. By the time we able to get to where the deer was laying, several trucks had run over it's body. Using hooks, we managed to drag over to the side of the road of a strange looking "RUG". The deer was crushed and pancaked down to a THIN layer! "What a waste of a good venison" I said. The Truck driver agreed with me.
We looked for the deer's head, but we could not find it. Then the Truck driver said "Oh shit. You don't think....?". I told him.. "Yep! Somewhere out there on that super slab is a deer's head embedded into the very fenders of that truck that never stopped. It will be one hell of a conversation of discussion if that poor feller gets stopped by the bears (State Police)".
Sadly to say, animals will still be wild out there. But they are unaware of having caused a "animal Jihad" or "animal terrorism" on human beings. We may not co-exist side by side with animals. But one thing is clear. We are a part of their circle of life.
As hunting season draws near, I'm wishing I could be a "hunter terror" on those animals (deer) because I want my venison as well. But then again, when will I ever get a day off to do just that? Oh well. I'm hope a friend of mine bags a buck and a doe.
Till next time, hope we don't see any animal jihads today! Semper FI!

OverKill of Christmas!
I had to post something today (Sunday, November 11Th) of all days. I never thought retailers would start in on CHRISTMAS the moment Halloween was over. But, going shopping at my local mall in my hometown, I was greeted by no less than a CHRISTMAS OVERKILL!
Decorations of Christmas everywhere in almost every store! I was feeling like I'm bombarded with so much THEME of Christmas! It was downright horrible feeling.
Why so early and why now? There's a reason. Last year's Christmas for the retailers didn't do so well. So the retailers have decided to TAKE SOME REVENGE on the consumers to BUY EARLY AND OFTEN! Oh I can understand the need to make profit.
But, it won't work this year. Right now, our dollar is falling. The toy industry is hurting because of so many toys that were imported have been recalled for various reasons. The most recent are the Aqua Dots. Parents are concerned. Toys are almost a retailer's dream of a multi-million dollar profit. But for many other retailers, they're pushing their lines of items as much as they can. But are they American made? No. Just about anything and everything is NOT made in America any more. Thanks to Bush and his NAFTA! In 2008, we need some anti-NAFTA crowd..(yanks the keyboard from the political Steve)...
Sorry. That Anti-NAFTA moment will be a future post in 2008. :-)
Anyhow, back to the point. I feel bad that we have to suffer with retailers trying to hype in Christmas early on consumers.
When I arrived in Montoursville, PA. I expected to see my town looking nice and ready for thanksgiving 2007. Instead, I found Christmas lights and decorations up. I was aghast. I couldn't' believe some neighbors have taken to putting up outside Christmas decorations up early! *sigh*.
Well, Christmas Overkill got complete on Sunday when I went by the portrait shop. Lo and behold! There was a man dressed up as Santa Claus, but looked like Albus Dumbledore!! I was shocked. I couldn't believe it.
Someone once told me this: "If you were to see someone dressed as Santa Claus BEFORE Thanksgiving, then your Christmas season is going to be a bad time. If you see someone AFTER Thanksgiving, Christmas will be a blessed time.".
So, I walked by the poor guy fast as I could. Never looking back after his greeting. Sure I'll take the coal in his stocking, but I consider my season done for.
Thanks retailers for doing a Christmas Overkill. May your profit margins FALL!

End of a wild week.
G'day!
As I pound out my frustration on this keyboard, I am already wishing (as I have said in my facebook) that I was on my way to PA and meeting my friend tonight for the start of a romantic weekend. But instead, I have decided to pound out my blog before I go back to Manassas, Va to stay for the night and then head on up to Williamsport, PA.
Basically this week has seen a WILD time. Right now, Democrats are much MORE in power in several states. Could it be a VOTER REVOLT at this point aimed at the Republicans? Or is it just a fact that voters are tossing out the long time political people who have held office too long? Either way, political fresh blood is needed out there.
Meanwhile, the cost of Gas has gone up. The Dow has gone down. The Almighty dollar has badly weakened. The mortgage and insurance industry are in a turmoil. It does not look economically good into 2008.
On the political side, who has the edge heading into 2008? I'm not going to make any predictions. But there are some who think Hillary Clinton will win the nomination and then the presidency. I do hope there are others who will seriously challenge her.
So, as I close my post for the weekend, I want to remind people that I have a poll running till the end of November. Please decide of what should be done with Jordan, Fernandes, and Kimmel. By the time the Spring semester begins, we'll have plenty to be concerned about.
RIT is just about finished it's Fall Quarter. And Daniel Berke? My gosh.. you have to see some of his videos posted on face book. I'm seeing a deaf ROBIN WILLIAMS in progress. This is way so cool.
Semper Fi for the weekend. No posts on Sat or Sunday, unless something happens out there.
Stay safe, everyone!

Dead Romance Society.
G'day Everyone.
Time for a personal episode of my life. (I figured we need a break from anything else. Don't get me started on the Gas prices. I'm still trying to force my wallet away from the damn pump!).
Today's title says it all.
Have you ever taken a time when you really loved someone and wanted to go GREAT LENGTHS to surprise them by calling a certain hotel, getting that special room, order candles and wine, and having the lights turned soft and low? Yes, that's what I precisely did. It was worth a very pretty penny!
However, try having your own romantic thoughts unexpectedly ripped apart, after a two week long build up of thinking "Oh what that wonderful weekend is coming up! I can't wait!", after your 'date' says "I'm sorry I can't make it this weekend. I got caught speeding in my car about a month ago and just found out yesterday's mail that I have to pay some court costs. I'm sorry!".
I dropped my jaw right open and somewhere on my desk. I can't believe if someone gets caught for speeding and then delays off setting money aside for paying the fine, what kind of responsible driver is that? It left me totally speechless.
I tried to put romance back in the picture and said: "Come for a weekend with me. It's a gift". Unfortunately, no go. The person, I wanted to be romantic with, wanted to stay home and save money and opting to wait for the coming Spring 2008.
You know, setting a stage for some romantic evening takes a lot of work. Especially when you want to surprise the other person and expecting nothing in return. Well, that person now has to try to romantically impress ME! A relationship takes two people to work it. It only takes ONE to end it all or destroy it.
So now, I've had to scramble to cancel it all, but kept the wine for myself. Dunno what I'll do with it. It'll age a bit. :-)
Let me tell you something, I know some of you are involved in some type of a relationship with someone. Even if it's long distance as well.
But, when one person prepares for a ROMANTIC time for you, JUST GO!! Don't worry about the costs or finances. GO!! It's better to take in a bit of a romantic time with that person who loves you because you'd never know if that same person WILL NOT BE THERE the next day or NOT across the 'net (or NOT in the next room).
Would you like to be one of the many people, who tell the other romantic person, that by putting off the romantic time, can you get assured that he/she will be there later for you? Chew on that.
What if that romantic person who loves you or you were to DIE on that very supposed weekend (or any other day)? What comes after death is a unbearable grief for the lost person (as well as for the surviving romantic person). Life gets tough to bear after you or the other romantic person is gone.
So let me say it clearly. If you are forced to cancel the other person's romantic plans, then you better be romantic right back to that same person and assure him/her you still love him/her and promise to do something special to keep the romance alive. Otherwise, your romance with that person becomes a member of a Dead Romance Society.
I hope I inspire people with this post and remind them with the holiday season coming up so close now, it's a special time for everyone. It would be made more special if you spend time with the person that loves you. Even if for a special weekend has to be made to do it. Take the time to make memories. Because in the uncertain status of our would, relationships should become a very important factor to be sure that they remain strong through the uncertain days to come.
I still love my friend, just sad that he couldn't come. Like I said, I consider what I'll do with the wine later. (any ideas? :-) )

Starting 2008.. NOW!
It's the Evening before 2008. I always considered the eve of the General Elections of 2007 to be the FORMAL LAUNCHING PAD to the start of the Presidential season. On this eve, our nation will be preparing for the November 2007 elections.
Boring political race? Yes. Depending on WHERE you are and what state you are in. To me, I lost my opportunity to grab an absentee ballot from PA. Damn it.
But I want to encourage people to vote intelligently. Just throw the bums out. Don't let those that favor illegal immigration to stay in power! Toss them out. Illegal immigration = Terrorism in our back yards already! The right political people will be the very ones who will target the illegal immigrations and send them BACK where they came from and help make our nation safe again.
But as far as the Presidential race goes for 2008? Tomorrow will be the day the political season begins and in the next 364 days, we'll hear of just how good they are. By the time the spring primary season hits, we'll know for sure who's the better person to lead our nation.
As I think of the very moment, I say NO, I don't want Hillary Clinton to be President. Not till 2012, thank you very much! For at the present, we must calm this world and bring it back from the attempted destruction of war.
Let's hope Darth Cheney doesn't do anything stupid. (where's Luke and Obi-wan when we need the now?).
Till next time.. Semper FI!

Big Money to Oil Companies, little for the consumer relief.
G'day!
I had a long thought to myself when I was driving this morning. I looked at the very sign of the prices of GAS. In less than 3 weeks, the gas prices have JUMPED at an incredible rate. Some bloggers have hit me in the e-mails and complaining that the gas prices were going to cause an economic melt down!
Guess what? We are going to have an economic melt down! We've been in the high $3.00 range before. But now some people are saying that long before the infamous DARK FRIDAY Christmas Shopping kicks off, they'll check on the price of gas and give a "gift of OIL (GAS)" to the car first. Someone once said that before December 31, 2007, we will see the price of gas go above and beyond $4.00.
If that happens, we will be in a state of concern. Presently, the oil market is already preparing for the day if President Bush decides to invade Iran. I tell Bush "Was it worth invading Iraq and now we have to get out?". He'll say "hell yeah! But we're not gonna leave". I think Bush will realize that the longer he keeps the troops in Iraq the more possibility that his republican party will lose this year and next year's elections.
All in all, just about anything is made from oil. The price on the products are going up. It won't be until one day, every environmentalist is going to have to finally give in to every threat allow drilling for oil in our own back yards to happen, even in Alaska! Oil has to come from somewhere. If we don't start now, the future will be dark and bleak for us.
Lastly, in the very day we hit Iran, I'm packing my bags, quitting my job without any formal notice, and heading back to PA fast as I can. I rather not be in a major city when this happens.
So whatever happens folks, be conservative with that car. Use the transportation services while they run. For in the very future, we better be hauling bicycles pretty fast.
