Everyone is watching the events unfold about a major cruise line sinking near Italy. It makes people remember back to 1912. That was then the Titanic (unsinkable, they say) sank!
The Costa Concordia SANK!
All of the events were almost the same as the titanic (according to the news reports). However, this time, the Costa Concordia did not break apart and sink all the way to the bottom. But it is in shallow waters.
You can't think but be in awe of the pictures coming across the Internet world. They tell of the whole disaster of what happened. Thankfully, the captain didn't bother to go down with his ship. But he is arrested.
Think back to the Titanic sinking. The accounts of all the reports are by the survivors of the disaster back then. It would take time till some decades later, submarines would go to the deep site and find the wreckage of the Titanic. It would be a sight to be hold and accurate all the survivors stories.
One book author thought that the Titanic was still whole when it sank and wrote the story: "Raise the Titanic". The Titanic will never be raised. But the Titanic will remain where it is since it is also a graveyard for the dead that died on board.
So, if you are going on a trip, do yourself a favor. Pack carefully and be prepared to lose everything in the event a ship has a disaster.
Pray for the victims of the Costa Concordia. The captain will have his day in court to explain his defense of his ship and his crew.
