G'day Everyone!
Penn State is not the only state that is cracking down on drunk driving. They're also cracking down on people who text and drive as well as talking on the cell phone and drive. Many other states are also getting serious about the drunk driving, texting, and cell phone use in people's cars. It's not just the police observation of you while their car is parked along side of the road in a hidden spot, but of many of the special speed cameras that can take a peek at you in the car as well.
It is adding up in the driving law world. Some places like England are running advertisements on their TV of what can happen if you text and drive or use the cell phone and drive. The results are very ugly out there. As the college season is starting, I remind a lot of people that between now and December (and through the holidays), police will be watching you on the road. If you get caught and you try to hide the cell phone or sidekick from you, don't. Obey and listen to the police. They already observed you. It's too late to do anything defensively except if you are a deaf driver, you got a right to request for an interpreter.
Meanwhile, the Little League world series is going on in my town. You can catch all the action on ESPN and ESPN2. Check on the LLWS page to see who's leading this year:

Soon, the play off series begins and it could be any time heading for the big championship game on Sunday, August 30th on ABC tv!
So, it's the last week of Summer before September begins. Gallaudet is in NSO week. NTID starts soon. PSU starts a football game soon as well. Going to be an INTERESTING Fall 2009.
Biggest question of the year is, will the Eagles win the Super Bowl behind McNabb and Vick? We'll find out soon.
Have a great week!

Update: a google user name poweron left a comment today, but James sent me the link that EVERYONE ought to look at very carefully! There's no captions. It's very graphic of it. But the actions are a CLEAR message. Link:

I don't care if you got a cell phone or sidekick out there. The message is clear! HANDS ON THE DAMN WHEEL AND DRIVE SMART, ALIVE SMART. Remember, police are watch you and if you get caught, not only you will be fined, but your insurance will go up and you will have a POLICE RECORD that will follow you for the rest of your life! I hope I made it clear that you only got ONE LIFE. That's it! There's no SECOND CHANCES here!

Nobody give fly as they're still texting each other while driving. It take a while time until more law encourage strict. Then bye bye social while driving.
Thanks for posting the link for me
in your blog. I know from my last
accident, the other driver was at
fault for jumping into my lane to
hope to avoid a car that was coming
in front of her from driving on to
the road from off the road. Do you
know what one of the question both
insurance ask me as a new question
but an honest question? The Question was "Where you using a
Cell Phone or doing any texting
while driving?". I clearly told
both insurance No because I don't
even have a pager or a Cell phone.
So, even if you get into an minor
accident that was cause by doing
any texting, you will get serious
in trouble with the law. Please
for the sake of the passenger in
your cars, for the other cars and
for yourself, don't do any texting
while driving. You are better off
being safe than sorry.
