G'day Everyone.
We all don't like it when the deaf community get put in the spot light when they're arrested, gone through trial, found either convicted or not guilty, and if guilty: punishment.
The last few weeks, I've been following the Yehs about their final fate. Unfortunately, I learned that they will not be the first defendants to be sentenced. Link: http://clercjr.wordpress.com/2011/08/03/yehs-sentencing-date-postponed-again/
With that being said, Mowl and Tropp will be the first defendants sentenced in this VRS scam. How long of a prison length they'll get could determine the time for the Yehs to serve.
Meanwhile, Former Political Blogger Micah Brown is due to be sentenced on August 26, 2011 at 9am at a Federal Court House in Syracuse, NY. As it is confirmed that Micah pleaded guilty to all the charges in a plea agreement with the prosecutor in an effort to avoid a trial. The impact of the sentence will pretty much Micah pretty much hard as he's been in the county jail for more than a year now since his arrest. It is expected that the judge will give him credit for time served.
That's all for now.
Till next post, I'll clue you in.
