Illinois abolishes the death penalty!

G'day Everyone.

In a stunning move, the Governor of Illinois signed into law to abolish the death penalty in his state!

Which means this: Gov. Quinn has taken the buck passed by Gov. Ryan who suspended the death penalty. They both didn't want to go through millions of dollars to investigate the possible corruption of death penalty justice to see who's really innocent on death row. In fact, they're going to have to build super max prisons for the worst offenders who commit the death penalty type crimes in their states. Good idea? right? WRONG.

Both Governors just didn't want to deal of trying to find out who's innocent on death row. By abolishing the death penalty law, they just sentenced those poor prisoners to life in prison. So much for justice. Think of all the people who kill people will get a comfortable life in prison because they won't be put to death. How lucky for them, but not for their victims.

Meanwhile: Blagojevich is back in the news again! Link: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/09/blagojevich-asks-judge-to-cancel-second-trial-cites-money-woes/?hpt=T2
Blagojevich is asking that judge to cancel the government's second trial in which they want to try Blagojevich on 17 other counts, but he's got no money! I hate to say this, but Blagojevich may be out of luck. The government may proceed to retry blagojevich whatever if he's got a lawyer or not. The first thing Blagojevich may have to do is admit guilt and end it right there. He doesn't have much of a choice. That old laughing governor may be heading to prison more than 5 years. Tough luck, blago. You should have admitted it all at the first time.

Finally, today's post is in honor of the Space Shuttle DISCOVERY!

Discovery came home to it's final end of it's long life of many missions. It will now be prepared to be decomissioned and moved to a museum soon. Farewell Discovery. We will miss you.

until next post, I'll clue you in later!
