G'day Everyone!
In just 2 more days, I will have one more Deaf Santa show to do and then it's done for the year. I consider it an honor and kindness to do something for the kids of the Deaf Community at this time of the year. It will take place on Friday, December 18th from 5 to 8pm at the Lycoming Valley Mall in Williamsport, PA. I'm hope that a little Public Relations by the mall will have a newspaper reporter to come out and do something on Thursday that will make Friday's edition. But lately, I've seen my local newspaper do reports AFTER the events have happened. I must admit that is more sad than not reporting the news of events before they happen.
At my last event on December the 5th, I sat for 3 hours of hearing these kids talk about the things they want which range from the hottest toys to the latest fashion fads. But, most of them do ask for one thing: Jobs for their mother and father. It hits home of just how many people are out of work and how much the parents are trying to make the sacrifice to give their children a happy Christmas. I commend them, the parents, for their heartfelt actions that they are trying to show their children of what it means of Christmas, love. I sincerely hope they can do what they can to give their kids the best of Christmas. I expect I'll be hearing more of the same on December 18th in the evening from these kids.
Today, it marks that there are 10 shopping days left to Christmas. There are 21 days left in the year. It will be next week that I will post my Christmas wishes. I have already sent out my Christmas cards for the year and that's done.
But for my readers: I wish you all a wonderful Christmas. Shop carefully, look for bargains. But of course, the second Christmas day begins when it's WHITE day: Day after Christmas sales. For the stores: The dreaded returns begins!! *UGH*.
Semper FI.
