G'day Everyone.
The college football world is abuzz on this Quarterback Monday. The Bowl Championship Series finally posted who plays who. The results are UGLY! Iowa, which PSU wants a match up so badly, is playing else where.
So who does PSU play? LSU. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=ap-capitalonebowl&prov=ap&type=lgns It'll be the capital one game on January 1, 2010. Expect PSU to wipe out LSU promptly off the field.
So where are the dreaded Iowa Hawkeyes going? Well, BCS muddled that too. They're being sent to the ORANGE Bowl where they'll face Georgia Tech Bulldogs. In my opinion, that's the worst decision that BCS made. BCS could have made a better game and higher TV ratings had they put a Iowa vs Penn State game rematch. Thus, the mess will insure that there'll be a LOUDER call in the coming months for a play-off system to be in place later.
Meanwhile, the disgraced Florida Coach Bobby Bowden will finish his last game at the Gator Bowl. It seems that BCS decided to give the scandal ridden Bowden a kink in his finale game. They're playing against the West Virginia Mountaineers. With Bowden's 14 games still up to an NCAA decision, I'm backing West Virginia to go and WIN against Bowden. After all, West Virginia deserves to dish some revenge back at him. Good luck Mountaineers.
But, after Florida's last game, will Coach Fisher straighten out the team and set them on some honest football path? Only the future of next season will certainly tell.
Pittsburgh is losing steel heart for the play-offs. The Eagles may wing it in. But, will there be a good play-off match up? We shall soon see.
Semper FI.
