Comments Posts are NOT for all!

G'day Everyone.

There is a war going on in the deaf blogsphere and I'm watching it carefully. But I'm not going to say WHERE it's happening. You see, one person thinks that his comments were printable on a blog owner's site. But I know the owner of that particular blog knows this person well and has said that they retain the right to moderate the comments.

Just like Tayler Mayer said in his post :http://www.ythree.com/?p=724.

I also retain this right to MODERATE my comments section. If you were to allow comments to be posted freely and at will by anyone, you would be in damn trouble for it. I kid you not!

When I was on Xanga.com, I had to struggle with the intense firestorms because the comments were in open posting mode. When I didn't get help from the administrators of Xanga.com, I imploded my first blog. It wasn't long that Xanga.com realized the implications for their blog owners and finally changed their programming. They (xanga.com) tried to ask me back. I told them nicely and in 2 words. "No Thanks!".

After a search through the blogsphere, I finally revived here on Blogspot.com. It only has taken one bad apple of a comment poster to raise the security level in my comment section twice. Though that person didn't like it. That person did threaten me harm, did threaten to sue me, did try to take me to the FCC (and I followed up on it. FCC doesn't regulate blogs and vlogs), and various other threats. I deal with these things every time I post something and if some one doesn't like my posts, well, I can't please every damn person out there. If you *DON'T LIKE what I write, do me a favor. MOVE ON! The Internet is filled with many blogs and vlogs out there to your tastes.

Point is that, if you the commenter, writes something in my comments section that becomes something unprintable for my blog, you must expect that it *WON'T be approved*. I know I wrote about this several times before. So I write this topic one more time and post it again.

So, I wanted to say this clearly to many of my nemesis' out there: I RETAIN THE RIGHT TO MODERATE THE COMMENTS SECTION PERMANENTLY!

You see, I did consider to make it an open comment publishing. But one person was bad enough to spoil it for everyone. Never again will I allow open comments.

I advise every Blog and vlog owner to moderate their comment posters. It's not a pleasant job to do. But the fact is it's just like the newspapers. Not every letter to the editor makes it into letters page. The same thing is for the news (depending on how we define the "news" in the blog and vlog sphere).

Another person also has the same topics on their blog, but just a bit different. Here it is:

and

Semper FI.

DeafBison,

The sames goes with the Newspapers. People can write whatever they want to the Editor of the newspaper. The Editor decides which "Letter to the Editor" to print or not in the newspaper. Not every letter that gets received to the Editor of the newspaper gets published.

we have our Freedom of Speech and the Freedom to write to a blog/newspaper/TV station. Who ever
receives them, decides either to post in their blog/newspaper or share on TV to show the public as feedback. I agree with Sherlock about this as he has to right to decide who to post or not to post from a person who left a comment.
