Seek Geo's post, Harry Potter, another CI blog post

G'day Everyone.

When SeekGeo did his post, www.seekgeo.com , about Archie getting married I was kind of shocked. I also grew up reading some of the Archie books. But who will he settle on? Betty or Veronica or someone else? It like a little cliff hanger that tells us the series could come to a conclusion. But who does Archie get married to? Go read the book!

If you plan to go to see the new Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, I want to plead with parents NOT to take their younger kids to these last 3 movies of Harry Potter. This is the start of the closing end of the Harry Potter films. The next movie will be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that will be in two parts. So parents, please. Think carefully. Wait for the DVD to come out. Besides, there's a LOT of action going on as well as special effects.

And just in the timing, there's another anti-CI post about the new Wisconsin law. Go look at : http://sswblog.com/?p=487

Two major events are happening in my area: The Lycoming County Fair (the 139th) that runs from July 16 - 25th. By the time that's over, the area is just barely going to have a month to prepare for the Little League World Series on August 21-30th. Yes, it means ESPN and airships will be around in my area. Lot of fun.

Semper FI!

What's wrong about letting kids watch the last "Harry Potter" film?

We would be better off letting kids watch the grimsly storyline involved the death of Harry Potter than making them think that our world is all perfect!

Death is part of life, we have to deal with it anyway. :)

There is a violent end to this movie and it's the death of Albus Dumbledore (ok, I gave away the spoiler). It's so violent, a lot of people who read the book were SHOCKED by that event. This movie and the next two are very *DARK* movies in which children will have a lot of questions. It's better served if the last 3 movies were restricted as "R" rating in which nobody under 18 can see it. Just in my opinion!

Just an entertainment!

Many kids were emotionally scarred about seeing the beloved dog being shot by Jane Wyman in "Old Yeller" film.

How can be very violent if involved the mystical stuff for the death of Professor Dinwiddle?

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) rating board still do not have any child psychologist on the board or consult with the child pyschologists to see what any particular films ought to get specific rating.

Kids ought not to read the Holy Bible since this book is full of violence, perversion and sex anyway.
