G'day Everyone!
When you listen to CNN and all of it's news lately, you wonder of how the last Bush Administration and the current Obama administration could ever fuck up the insurance industry so badly, you have to scratch your head and wonder.
Now that our Government has thrown Billions of dollars at Mortgage Companies, Banks, Wall Street Firms, The Auto Industry, and now the Insurance Company. Especially AIG. Guess what? They all have had parties, giving huge sums of bonuses to their CEOs, and paying their workers extra money for all the hard work that they've done in the last 8 years of the Bush Administration.
Suddenly, Congress is incensed! Angry that is! Why pick on AIG when it's other places that have also served up BIG Bonuses for their workers and CEOs? Is Congress trying to send a message to others who use the bailout as a *BONUS*? That, we have to wonder.
I do praise the lawmakers for considering to *TAX* the companies that hand out these bonuses that are used for the bailout money. But I'm hope that our Government does not do any more bailout because money does something funny to businesses. Better to let them fail than to mis-use our hard working dollars that are suppose to help our government to run effectively for the people.
God help us if another major business or financial firm gets in trouble this year. Nothing comes ever good of throwing honest money after a bad investment.
Semper FI.
