G'day Everyone!
There's a theme that is happening across the world when you hear Children and adults say "All I want for Christmas is (followed by name of the gift or wish)". It is very interesting to hear from the mouth of babes to the young adult to the older mature persons.
Today there's one gift/wish that is on the lips of many people. The "All I want for Christmas is...." A JOB!!
Yes, it is on the mind of many people. From the deaf/disabled community to the hearing community, there are many of us that are looking for jobs. So, should all those people who got bailed out by our government cheer because they got money, jobs, health pensions, home? (cheering crowd stops suddenly). They better mute it then. Because this economic recession could a lot worse and then those that got bailed out will suddenly find themselves again pushed back to the brink of LOSING their jobs, home, health care, etc.
Thousands have applied to Obama's new administration for employment through change.gov area. How many of the lucky people will be employed in it? I don't know the exact number, but there will be some Bush employees left around to still work in the next administration. As it is today, it is one month to the swearing in. One month to go before Bush finally leaves for good. Our nation will go through it's worse days, but we will survive and become better for it!
Personally, I have a lot of Christmas wishes this year. Top two wishes: A job for myself and for Robert Goodwin to get better and back to his home. (his Jamie wants him home). I have many other personal wishes as well.
At this time, I do want to extend my Christmas Greetings and blessings to my readers this year. I hope at this time of the year, may all your hopes and dreams come true. For us, the unemployed people, may our biggest dream come true: May we get a job offer as a Christmas gift! That would be the best thing to happen for all of us.
Semper FI.
