G'day everyone!
It's a very big egg mess in the USA. When Chicken farms that produce eggs do not follow food safety protocols, bad things happen.

The food problems that our nation has been having over the years has been increasing very much. The egg production mess is the very latest. If companies do not take serious concerns over the safety of the food in the company, then they deserve to be forced out of business.
Here's info of a few states taking protective actions: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/08/19/eggs.recall.salmonella.state/

In the worst case situation if you go shopping for eggs, check the expiration dates. You may want to talk to the dairy manager to find out WHERE they get their eggs from. My hometown store, like Wegmans, says that they get their eggs that are LOCALLY PRODUCED!
So when you shop, ask questions to the dairy manager or store manager.
In this day and age, food safety is going to be more important than ever.
