G'day Everyone.
First, a happy "BELATED" Mother's Day to all moms out there. I've been busy since Mother Nature (bow to her, people, because she's been angry lately), decided to unleash a wind storm that has pretty much invaded my area. Branches are down, power is out in various parts of the area, and a general clean up has begun today after waiting for the winds to die down.
After the winds died, it's been COLD. Some one told me at knobels camp ground, it's been very cold on the hills and every one's got a fire going. WOW. Talk about a weekend that acts like a fall weekend! It's going to remain cold for a while a bit. But we should expect some crop damages at this part of the season already. What a rough growing season it's going to be.
A lot of discussion is still going on about the FCC cutting funding for the VRS providers. While I have said my part, a lot more bloggers are getting to the discussions and digging down for more into of the reasons why. I still think it's a knee jerk reaction to how John Yeh's attempts to defraud the FCC in the past with his own VRS company. But if this proposal gets passed, then we all get hit as one community. That's not fun. So keep sending letters to the FCC and tell them VOTE NO on that proposal. There has to be a better way to do this.
Meanwhile, I heard that Micah Brown will have an important hearing this week. I'm not commenting on when and where it's going to be. But, his family is helping him as much as they can do. He's got a wonderful lawyer working with him. Pray for Micah Brown, my friends. He will need it very much.
As the business week gets under way, a lot of concern is on Greece and it's debt. It pulled down much of the stock market. That's bad as it is. But hopefully there's a turn around this week. Mother nature is still in storm stage this week, but enjoy the sun shines while you can. I have sun here and I will enjoy it.
Also this week is very important too. Hurwitz will have his official inauguration installation to the President's office, the Graduates of GU will get their hoods, and the Graduation Ceremony will cap and close the 2010 year on Gallaudet University. Best wishes to the Gallaudet University Class of 2010!
Semper FI.
