Heartbreak

G'day Everyone.

Well, it's not exactly a G'day! I'd say B'day (bad day) Everyone instead. But today's a Heartbreak day instead for me.
First of all, I'm excited that the show "The Reluctant Dragon" is coming together. With the review (private) show on Thursday night, that's going to be our most interesting moment.

However, my heartbreak is this: I invited my local deaf community to come to the show. The catch was: I needed to know how many would come by e-mail TODAY! It didn't happen. So ergo, nobody's coming. So then I went today and reached out to the disabled community at the HOPE enterprises and STEP, Inc. Kind of like last minute stuff. They're to call the theater office. to reserve the seats (LIMITED). Another problem was: NO INTERPRETER for the THURSDAY show!! *AUGH* There are days I want to wish to God this: *GOD, I KNOW YOU CAN *HEAR ME!* NOW, *MAKE ME HEARING OR ELSE!!* (a little threat doesn't do much good anyhow, but it was my HUMAN NATURE talking).

Many of my personal deaf friends have expressed support to me to want to come to the show, unfortunately, time and distance are the many factors here. I mean everyone has had advanced notices. *huge sigh* Would I do another show with the hearing community in the future? I don't know.

Yesterday was 1st costume performance day. Very interesting. Do I want to show you what I look like? I think at this point: no. I'm going to wait till the show ends and then post it on Facebook.

But you know, when one of your deaf friends is in the local theater, especially the local hearing theater, and goes all out for you to make an opportunity to invite you and the deaf community to a interpreted performance of a show, even if it's free, do say you'll come and be sure to go to it. It means a lot not only for the deaf performer, but to the entire hearing theater cast that people would turn out for a review night show. It gives a shot in the arm to have an audience to talk about the show so that they can improve on it before the REAL opening night.

Well, I think the rest of the week will go well. Just thought to let you know what's happen.

Till next post..

Semper (break a leg) FI!
