Easter 2010

G'day Everyone.

Happy Easter 2010 to many of my readers and friends. I've had a good weekend with my family...in a way. Friday was so wrapped up that I had hung out with my mom and my sister. I totally missed the Good Friday church service. How I missed it? Shopped at Sam's club! A lot of the people were doing the same thing that day. But you couldn't miss the summer like weather. It was wonderful.

Saturday: urgh. I'm still in pain from doing the flower bed at my dad's grave with my sister. We did the front and made it look better. Updated the stone fence much nicer. Then we decided the rear head stone needed a flower base since everyone else was doing that. Went to the store, picked up my mom, and did more work. The work on the rear grave stone is done and looking so nice, we went "WOW!". Kind of a perfect Easter gift to remember my dad.

Well, on the way home, we decided to stop at my aunt's home to dig out and pick up her lilac tree. But while I called to check to see my aunt was home, my sister went up the mountain to sight see. But it turned out to be a bad idea. My sister wasn't watching and at the last second, manhole cover on unpaved road!! *ka-WUMPA!* It wasn't a very good sound. Little did we know that my sister's car was bleeding oil from her oil pan like a tanker that struck ice of the famous Exxon oil! That poor car bleed oil. Good thing is that I'm glad we decided to go over to my aunt's home. When we arrived, we didn't see the oil line that was left 10 blocks LONG! (whoa). After we meet my aunt, we saw the tree and I knew I had a lot of work to dig! So I went back to my sister's car. That's when I saw her car bleeding oil! I shouted "Holy Exxon Valadez, batman! Car's dying!". My sister, mum, and aunt rushed to see the oil leak. We tried to save the oil. Too late. The oil pan had bleed out.
Well, I ran down to get kitty litter from a grocery store and soak up the oil. We later got two more bags and cleaned up the spill.
After a pizza party a bit, came home and just enjoying today. Hopefully my sister's car can be fixed and she'll be on the road to home soon. But, poor car. Just doesn't seem to be my sister's weekend. :-(

As today's Easter, I'm sad to read the news that violence is still going on. Terrorism doesn't even pause to respect the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is sad. People are hurt and killed by others who are determined to get their message of fear and control of power. Those in terrorism will find out quick one day of what it's like to be judged at death by King Jesus and learn that their own death will be an eternity of hell. Let us rejoice in Christ who gives us Salvation and acknowledge that his precious blood gives us the forgiveness of sin and enter into Heaven.

May you have a Joyous Sunday before heading back to Moody Monday of work week!

Semper FI!
