Bad mood? Bad day? Sullen?

G'day Everyone.

Some people have a bad mood. Some have a bad day. Some people are downright sullen. Put them all together and it's a dark emotional crowd that just spreads out and affects everyone else around them. Ugly, isn't it?

Well, I have something to say about it. I used to have room mates and good friends in my college days of who we used to bounce off each other. Our custom was to allow that person to have a bad day or a two and give a respectful distance. When we feel time's up, it would be our time to take action. We'd do the tickle attack and tickle them until they say "UNCLE!". Or take them right out for an evening of an entertainment and get them to crack a smile and make them forget about their bad moods. Some times it's a risky thing to do, but hey when they know you mean good intentions, they can appreciate that you care about them.

But what can you do across the miles away from your friend who's having a bad day? Not much. Maybe a card, sending up a prayer. VP them 3-4 days later when they say they've been in a bad mood. Check up on them. Make sure they're all right. Talk to them.

I do appreciate and thank many of my past ro0m mates and friends who have helped me with my bad mood days and I do think of them and pray that their own bad moods will lift from them. Some times I'll try to email them a joke or send a letter of concern. Some times I'll even call on the VP.

Don't have long bad moods or bad days. Don't be sullen either. Life is too precious to let that happen. Remember to thank your friends who care about you.

Enjoy your week.

Semper FI.
