G'day Everyone.
I am very disappointed in the International Olympics Committee. Why open the Winter Olympic Games last night when the death of a competitor happened? It's insensible decision.

In the days to come, there will be an investigation. Safety standards for the competitors will be raised higher for all aspects of the games. Over all, the opening ceremonies should have been postponed to today so that they could allow the team of Georgia (nation, not state) to properly mourn the loss of their teammate.
Would this be the last Winter Olympics? Maybe. But given Vancouver's icky weather and lack of cold and snow, almost anything could happen in the next few days.
My suggestion: Pray for these people. Safety should be the first and foremost to happen as people take part in these Olympic games.
Let's hope the Olympic committee learns a lesson that when a death happens, give everyone involved at least a full 24 hours to mourn before allowing other events to happen.
For now, the games are open and the competition begins. Good luck competitors.
Semper FI.
