G'day Everyone.
The weekend was a QUIET weekend recently. What can I say. I can only say that I'm sad for a few things.
First of all, St. Ann's Catholic Church, which is where I used to go play bingo often before, finally held their "farewell to the bingo games". A rather large crowd turned out for the event which drew more strangers than the usual bingo players. No matter how well I played, I didn't win anything in the finale night. Several of the current players asked me where I'm going to be going to. I told them: "time to hang up the bingo markers and focus on the future". Like for many of us in this state of economic recession, we are concerned for the coming future. We all said our good-byes, good lucks, and congratulated on the bingo staff for their work.
Sunday's Pro-Bowl NFL football game was rather a big success as AFC defeated NFC. But now the question is: Can the COLTS defeat the Saints (aints)? I'm hope that it's a big YES!! In about a week, those New Orleans Saints will be aints again! When that happen, we'll cheer "who dey aints?!" "oh yes, NO Aints dey are!". So shine up your horse shoes Colts. You better have your mane washed and dried and ready to rumble in Miami! The nice thing is, it's an outdoor game so this ought to even the field! Super bowl Sunday coming on February 7th!
Lastly, today I had my grief day for my aunt as she had passed away. The funeral was simple and to the point. Burial, much less. As she's gone, so are the memories of her. Not much I can do but get on with life. It was an unexpected time to hear her passing away a few days ago. But one thing I know is that my uncle Dale is proud to be reunited by his wife in peace.
So on that point, I bid you
Semper FI till the next post.
