G'day Everyone!
I'm sitting in my favorite Quarterback Arm Chair and relaxing before the afternoon NFL games begins today. I will have to punt my chair away in order to be watching for Gallaudet's History Day to begin at 12noon. Call it a drama, but it will in a way kick-off the 75th homecoming week that will end in a big party on Saturday. But will it be a party? Only if the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees picks the RIGHT person to manage the future of Gallaudet University. In a matter of hours, we will find out. I encourage many people to log on to: http://psac.gallaudet.edu for further updates.
Meanwhle in Football mode: I heard that Gallaudet University played some sloppy football in bone chilling conditions on the artificial turf of the field. It makes me wonder if all that investment for a fake field was worth the expense of it? The Bisons had loss to Catholic University by a score of 38-13. Bison season record is now 3-4. This coming Saturday is the Gallaudet University's 75th Homecoming. The Bisons host Becker College as it's the last home season game at Gallaudet University at 1pm. Let's hope Coach Hottle prepares the Bison team better for this game!
Speaking of college homecoming games, yesterday was a MORE worse bone chilling day in Happy Valley, PA! Yes, State College, PA had snow on the ground and it was freezing as heck and light rain fell. But you know what? The Penn State Nittany Lions didn't care as long as their turf field was going to be happy for them. They had a PEST of a team to show up for their home coming game day. It was the Minnesota Gophers. But the Gophers couldn't get anywhere past the Nittany Lions. In the end, the Nittany Lions made it a sweet PSU home coming day worth it to chill through in the stands. Score: Nittany Lions 20 - Gophers 0. That was to say, every time the Gophers peeked out of their hole to go for the goal line, they got clawed to shreds and Gophers had to hide in their hole. Maybe the Gophers wish they were playing a caddy shack team (fat chance that'll ever likely happen).
Let's hope today will be great history day at GU!
Semper FI!
