Labor Day Weekend 2009

(started this earlier today. Had to go out. This update and posting now)
G'day everyone!

I hope everyone will be enjoying this wonderful first FALL 2009 weekend. Labor Day weekend is kind of a official start to fall. All of the colleges, universities, and schools have opened for the year.
Football, that is if you count NFL, College, and High School games, is back and most of us men are ready to be "arm chair quarterback coaches" again. It should be a good season.

Speaking of Football: Today's the day for the big games! The Football Season for Gallaudet University Bisons will open the first game at 1pm on the Hotchkiss Field. The Bisons will be playing against U.S. Merchant Marines. Will Coach Hottle be sucessful this year without our Bison Drum again? We'll know soon enough! GO BISONS!
(Update: Bisons took a BIG first game loss to the Merchant Marines. Final score GU 14 - Merchant Marines 38. The Bisons will travel to Hiram University next week)

Also, this Football season will be very important for Gallaudet Bisons to have a winning season. Here's a reason why: http://www.gallaudetathletics.com/news/2009-10/racedrake By the time homecoming hits on Oct 22-25, it will be the 75th Homecoming year at Gallaudet University. So hope that the Bisons will still have a winning season to happen!

The Football season also opens for the Penn State Nittany Lions as well. The Nittay Lions take on the Akron Zips at Beaver Stadium at also 1pm. But it will be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network. (I wish I got that cable channel, damn it!).
Update: Just found out that PSU beat Akron by a score of 31-7! GO PSU!!
Next week: PSU vs Syracuse Orange! (Syracuse University!) GO PSU!!

Earlier today, I updated a post on my blog to include another link to a web page. Please see:

Meanwhile, earlier this week, I was pretty angry. A hacker/scammer struck at two close friends of mine on both AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and Yahoo Instant Messenger (YIM). The hacker/scammer tried to scam me for some HUGE money. I got a very suspecting feeling it was not my friend on that Instant Messenger. So I asked some huge challenges to see if it was my friend or not. It wasn't and I promptly had to NUKE AIM/YIM of my friend and I emailed my friend to let him/her know what happened. But the damage was severe for my friends. The hacker had struck at them first and shook them both down for money. Right now, we're trying our best to find where this hacker/scammer lives so we can sue and get this person(s) in Prison. It's a very bad situation.

While the presidential candidates have been announced announced, http://news.gallaudet.edu/News/Presidential_search_finalists_selected.html
I'm going to run a poll for the next 30 days. Everyone ought to decide WHO thinks will be the best candidate to be for President of Gallaudet University. Everyone, Especially the alumni, should vote. And if you got questions for the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC), email them at: psac@gallaudet.edu . I did earlier this week and I'm waiting for a response soon.

This weekend, I'm trying out a new digital hearing aid. My experience so far? It's interesting. I still haven't made up my mind if it's going to be my next hearing aid. But I've been advised not to go for the Cochlear Implants. That eased my mind a bit. But it's a last resort down the road later.

So, as it's Labor Day weekend 2009, I hope everyone will relax and enjoy the holiday. Till Tuesday, I wish you a Semper FI!
