G'day Everyone!
I think I'm catching up to my Summer already. I can already feel of just how close Fall 2009 is going to be. So I needed to say something important today in my blog. I figured this would help everyone.
We are all concerned about thieves that raid our homes. Almost anyone will take a chance to break into some one's house to steal something because they need to feed their drug habits or worse. But the only time they'll break into your home if they know nobody is doing any house sitting or house watching or when they know your home is empty.
So how does a thief know you are NOT home? It is very easy.
First, a thief scans the daily newspaper. He watches the orbits or death notices. Then looks at the times of the funeral / grave site times. That's when he goes to the street early and watches everyone that leaves the target home. He'll wait about a half hour. Once he gets confident that nobody's watching the home, he strikes. A thief won't care if the home is alarmed or not. He knows by the time someone calls 911, he can be out in 5 minutes. This is a cruel thief. He compounds the grief of the family by stealing on a day that is meant to be a final "good-bye" to their loved one. Woe to that thief if he gets caught of this very act. He may think he'll get away with this act on earth, but when the thief dies and faces the ULTIMATE JUDGE: KING JESUS, he has NO HOPE of MERCY at all! He'll be wishing in eternity that he was caught and jailed here on earth.
Second, there is a growing crime trend happening now. It's on our social networking sites. Thieves are now watching our posts of what we put on our myspace, twitter, facebook, and any other social networking sites out there. When we say we're going somewhere, we usually do mean we are gone. That's when a thief will strike our homes.
So it means you got to change your social networking account a bit. Don't let it be OPEN for everyone to see. Set it to FAMILY and FRIENDS ONLY. That's the best secure thing that there is. Limit who sees what you post. If you are going away, say that you are BUSY AROUND THE HOUSE. When you get back, everyone will understand that you were "BUSY". Bring back the pictures of your trip if you do.
Third, in the blog world: Don't post that you are going away. Say NOTHING. After your trip, post about it. THINK SECURITY!
Thieves won't like me. They won't like my post. They won't like my suggestions that I'm giving out today. If they threaten me, I'll back up with the police and shiny handcuffs and stick them in jail with charges on them that they'll wind up with a record that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.
If you are a thief that reads this post, then I urge you to change your heart, your mind, and your life. The act of thinking to take someone else's common good will wind you up not only of being caught and judged here on earth, but also caught and judged by God as well when he reviews your life. Here on earth, you have a lawyer who'll try to defend you. But in eternity in the court of God? You will wish God will let you have a lawyer because you'll have to defend your life and you will FAIL! In both cases, the verdict will be *GUILTY!*. So I ask you this: don't steal from a grieving family or friends. You will regret it. Don't believe me? Check what this site says about God reviewing your life: http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0001/0001_01.asp

So dear readers, protect your home. have someone watch your place when you go away. Be pro-active about SECURITY. Above all, be safe for you and your family.
Semper FI.
