Results of the Poll

G'day Everyone!

The results of the poll are in and related to the post that I had done about a fellow deaf citizen who was tasered in his own home by police that were on a FALSE CALL. Please review that post:

The Question: Does $50,000 covers the cost of a False Call Police Invasion?

About 20 people took the question. It was a low response.

The answers were:
8 people or 40% said that it needs more money. That is to say if the city were to offer more money to the home owner to make it a clear good faith effort to keep it out of court and out of the hands of the jury.

1 person said that it needs to be LESS money. (el-cheapo. sides will the city? If the police invade your home, you'll want to barricade your home better!)

3 people or 15% said that the person, who was the victim of police invasion/false call, should sue for $500 Thousand Dollars. That would be a hell of a good settlement. But it would be a good advantage to force the city to really consider a FAIR settlement and admit that they should have change some procedures out there .

8 people or 40% believe should have sued the city, rejected the $50 thousand dollar settlement, and let the court and jury decide the final settlement.
