G'day Everyone!
To my readers:
Today starts a weekend of Celebration for our Nation's 233rd Birthday! Despite the economic conditions and the state of alert we are in, we should be thankful that we have been a strong nation.
So whatever you do this weekend, take a bit of caution and prayer.
Here's what is to pray about if you go to this weekend:
1. Pray for our men and women in the military. These people are working around the clock 24/7/365 days to keep our nation safe. Especially when they are watching how the wars are happening in the world and our people are in it. Pray that they will remain on alert this entire weekend and meet any threat that happens.
2. Pray that North Korea's missile will blow up before it gets off the ground. If God does that, we'll have something worth to celebrate this weekend!
3. Pray for safety of many people this weekend. We're all going to be cooking, camping, and stupidly playing with fireworks. Just remember: Safety comes first!
4. If you are driving this weekend to anywhere in your car, three things to be reminded of :
A: Don't talk on the cell phone at all when driving.
B: Don't send any text messages when driving.
C: Don't think about drinking and driving! (if you do drink at a bar, you better have someone to be the designated driver to bring you home. Better yet, take a taxi home and pick up your car later!)
The police will be setting up DUI patrols and will be watching the roads. Even with the camera too for the lead foot speeders! So if you do not want a ticket or getting arrested this weekend, do yourself a favor: Either stay home or take the local bus, or plane, or train!
Holiday weekends is when the major accidents happen and if you have an accident, you can kiss your car insurance good-bye! So please, Drive safe, Drive smart!
Finally, please enjoy this weekend with your family and friends. This is a time we should all enjoy, but keep a watchful eye on the news as well.
So, Major Salute to our Nation's 233rd year. Let freedom ring true!
Semper FI!
