GU, PSU, SU, 9/11 and on politics.

G'day Everyone!

Well, Tropical Storm Hannah came and dumped heavy rain in a lot of places. It was a good thing to replenish water supplies. But, the downside is that it created a lot of problems.

For the Gallaudet University Bisons, they took a tough loss in the season opener to Hiram College. http://www.gallaudetathletics.com/sports/fball/2008-09/news/20080906galvshiram
Very tough conditions. Hopefully, Hurricane Ike will likely stay south next weekend as the Bisons host St. Vincent at 1pm on the Hotchkiss field.

My favorite college team, Penn State University (PSU) Nittany Lions hosted the Oregon State Beavers. The Lions beat the Beavers 45-14. http://gopsusports.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/090608aaa.html
Unfortunately, the Beavers thought by playing in PSU's Beaver stadium, they thought they'd win. Ahh well, better luck next time.

Next Saturday, The Lions will travel to Syracuse University to face the ORANGEMEN for the FIRST TIME AGAIN! The last time these old rivals meet was back in 1990. So it's been many years for both sets of fans pleading for the rivals meet again. Expect a packed house at the Syracuse University football field. Don't miss that Saturday, September 13th at 3:30pm on ABC and ESPN GamePlan. Don't miss this excitement of the Fall Classic game: PSU vs SU! Orangemen vs Nittany Lions. For JoePA, he better expect a case of Oranges to be sent his way. For the coach of SU, maybe a mail bag full of Nittany Lions coming his way! My hope? PSU Claws SU, 32-14.

Now, this week is going to be our most important week of year. It is 7 years after September 11th, 2001. The year the world changed. The History channel is doing a Special show about September 11th. They made a collaboration of many views from ground witnesses that viewed the September 11th attacks. So this is going to be a very good show. Remember what happened on September 11th 2001. Patriot day is forever.

On the last issue. I have been watching the political things that have gone on. The conventions are over and both sets of Presidents and VPs have been nominated. I'm kind of sad for Hillary Clinton. I am so DEAD SURE that she did get the nomination. But chooses to let Obama lead in the name of "Party Unity". Will her supporters stage a massive WRITE-IN for Hillary? Who knows? If she waits till 2012, she better hope she's got that opportunity if the New York State doesn't boot her out of the senate before then.
I'm dead set against voting for McCain. His choice of VP sounds like one of the most risky choices that he's ever made. So, the republican party isn't exactly that happy in this election. So who's left? Ron Paul. Logical choice? Maybe.

So now we're in the home stretch to November 2008. How will it go? May the force of the voters UNITE to pick the right person for the job of President and Vice President. I predict many write-ins this year.

Till next time.. Semper FI.
